• Gone are the days where climbing was a "young man's game". These days you're just as likely to see silver-haired retirees in the mountains as twenty somethings and the community is all the better for it. Our 55+ program provides an opportunity for more mature ACC members to continue to do what they love and have the comradery of a similar demographic of guides and camp staff. 

55+ Campbell Icefield

The 55+ hiking and mountaineering camps are for young-at-heart hikers and mountaineers who want to connect with other adventurers and explore moderate hiking and mountaineering routes from the comfort of one of our backcountry huts. This summer, we will be offering yet another camp out of the beautiful Campbell Icefields Chalet. You'll be flying into the chalet via a scenic helicopter ride, have an exclusive booking at the chalet and have your very own group cook serving up scrumptious meals each day. This is the first season the chalet has opened its doors in the summer and the spectacular region offers something for everyone: alpine meadows, vast glacier, mountaineering summits... and did we mentioned theres a sauna?

55+ Little Yoho

Our dedicated 55+ Program will travel to the historic Stanley Mitchell Hut, situated in the Little Yoho Valley. After canceling this trip in 2020, we are excited to once again offer this rendition of our 55+ camp. Join ACMG guides Peter Amann and Sylvia Forest, for 5 days of hiking and climbing with the group. Be it glaciers, wildflowers, lakes, or summits, this valley has 360 degrees of opportunity for adventure.
