• Our Canadian mountain landscape has inspired artists and ACC members for centuries. As party of the Club's mission to promote alpine culture, we organize mountaineering and hiking camps specifically tailored to the professional and amateur artist and photographer alike. Grab your camera, paintbrush or sketchbook and push your creative boundaries.

Level 1 - Fall Hiking at Lake O'Hara

Classic hiking trails of the area, opportunities to get off the beaten track a bit, and everything from old growth to alpine. Lake O’Hara is a gem of the Rockies. Come spend 5 days with us hiking and exploring pristine lakes, beautiful mountains and all during larch season! This time of year the larch trees turn and the mountains are suddenly covered in a yellow blanket. What’s more is you’ll be staying the in one of the ACC’s oldest huts, Elisabeth Parker. This summer the hut celebrates it’s 100th birthday! A variety of daily trips will be led by professional ACMG guides dedicated to your safety, enjoyment an discovery of the area. Food will be provided so all you have to worry about is taking in the views.

Level 2 - Artist's Week at the GMC

Each year, the final week of the ACC’s General Mountaineering Camp is focussed on those seeking to push their creative, rather than mountaineering, boundaries. This camp is for the artist at heart! You can expect all the good things about a regular GMC week (helicopter access, fantastic food, ACMG guides, basecamp comfort etc.) but with a few slight differences designed to tailor our camp to the artist's tastes:
